Are you looking to gain new skills and certificates? Then, LNG’s Power Engineering Readiness Program might be right for you!

This program has been developed by Coast Mountain College in partnership with BCIT and LNG Canada, and in consultation with the Government of British Columbia. The intent of this program is to prepare students for a successful career in power engineering by providing students with an opportunity to learn about the Power Engineering Field and the associated career prospects. As well, students will be able to upgrade the Math, Science, English, and Essential Skills competencies required to enter the 4th Class Power Engineering program and gain employment with the many employers here in the Northwest and BC.

This tuition-free program will prepare students for a successful career in Powering Engineering with opportunities to learn about the field and career prospects. Power engineers operate and maintain reactors, turbines, generators, stationary engines and auxiliary equipment to generate electrical power and to provide heat, light, refrigeration and other utility services for the industrial work sites/

The program starts in Terrace from January 4, 2022, and will run until June 3, 2022.

Eligible participants will be provided with a daily stipen d while attending the program and will be eligible to receive a financial bonus upon program completion.
