Gitga’at Properties

Gitga’at Nation owns a 10,000 sq. ft. commercial building located at 632 3rd Ave. West in downtown Prince Rupert. The building is managed by the Gitga’at Development Corporation (GDC) and house the Prince Rupert Council Chambers for Gitga’at’s Chief and Council and the offices of the development corporation. It is also the home of Lee and Ann’s Restaurant, Spotless Laundry, and 5,000 sq. ft. of office and meeting/training space.

Gitga’at Forest Resources

The Gitga’at Development Corporation is engaged in a logging co-venture with Probyn Log with active logging now underway. Gitga’at is also seeking joint venture and other working arrangements with licensees and others that are equitable, grounded in the principles of eco-system based planning and management and representative of all the key values-based attributes of sustainability.
